Voices for Waze - Customizing Your Waze Experience
Changing the Waze Voice
If you don’t want to hear the standard synthetic voice that guides you through your journey, you can change it. The app lets you record your voice or the voices of your friends and family. You can even record an artist’s voice and use it while driving.
Customization is a small part of the Waze experience, but it’s still worth looking into. You can change the on-screen icon, swap out the voice or switch between different languages.
Waze is more than just a GPS navigation app, though; it’s also a community-based traffic app that relies on user data to give you accurate information about roads and traffic conditions around you. That means it’s a good idea to make sure you’re using the app as much as possible, because you can help other drivers navigate more efficiently.
Real-time traffic isn’t the only thing that Waze is reliant on user reports for; it can also give you alerts when there are crashes, potholes, police cars and other road hazards. These are a great way to keep yourself safe and on the right path, and you can save them for later if you don’t need them immediately.
Voices for Waze are available in a range of different languages, and there are also voices from celebrities like Cookie Monster and Mr. T, though those are typically add-ons that won’t stay in the app permanently.
Getting Voices for Waze
The Waze voice generator is pretty simple to use and is one of the best ways to customize your navigation experience. Just open the app and tap on the speaker icon in the lower-right corner. Once you’ve done that, press on the “Record new voice” option. From there, choose a phrase and press the big record button in the upper-right section to complete it.
